Consultation
A comprehensive review of your oral health with one of our dentists, including a visual examination and a discussion of any concerns or symptoms. This is usually the first step before any procedure, so the dentist can explain the options available, the likely timeline, and the cost before you commit to treatment.
X-Ray
Digital dental X-ray imaging that lets our dentist see below the gum line — bone level, decay between teeth, and root structure — helping ensure an accurate diagnosis before planning treatment such as extractions, root canals, or implants. Images are reviewed and explained to you as part of the visit.
Self-Ligating Braces (Metal)
A fixed orthodontic appliance using metal brackets with a built-in clip mechanism to hold the archwire, instead of elastic ties — used to correct crowding, spacing, and bite issues. Treatment involves regular adjustment visits over several months to years; your dentist will outline the expected length and steps at consultation.
Retainer
A custom-made appliance worn after braces or aligner treatment to hold your teeth in their new position while the surrounding bone and gum tissue settle. Retainers are typically needed long-term, at a reducing frequency, to stop teeth gradually shifting back — your dentist will advise a wear schedule for your case.
Crown
A custom-fitted cap that covers a damaged, heavily filled, or root-canal-treated tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance. Usually done over two visits: the tooth is shaped and a temporary crown fitted first, then the permanent crown is cemented once ready. With good oral hygiene, a crown can last for years.
Bridge
A fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. This restores chewing function and helps prevent neighbouring teeth from drifting into the space. It requires the supporting teeth to be shaped for crowns, so your dentist will discuss whether a bridge or an implant suits your situation better.
